You asked a friend to keep you honest. Now you are sending “did you go?” Or you both missed and called it even.

You are a few weeks into the gym, the run, or whatever you said you would stick with. You asked a friend to check on you. That worked for a bit. Then one of you missed. The other said it was fine. Now every “did you go?” feels like nagging, and every miss gets a free pass. You still want the habit. The text thread is the wrong place to keep score.

Stop using the chat as the scoreboard

Keep the friend. Text about dinner. If you still want to do this habit with them, go together. Do not send a recap after. If you go alone, write it down yourself. A note on the calendar counts. A third “did you??” does not.

How this looks in Motivus

Your Journey is your goal. Your tasks are the actions you take to get there. Add the habit to a Journey and invite them to join. You both Mark Done when you show up. You can check on your friend, compare progress, and cheer each other on. No nagging required.
